Why We Sell Football Footwear, Youth Baseball Cleats and Other Apparel and Equipment
Our Business History We opened our store in August of 2005, but began planning our strategy much earlier. Being the parents of young athletes and living in a rural area, we knew how hard it was to find quality sports equipment like youth baseball cleats. Our only option was to drive to the large chain stores an hour away only to be disappointed by lack of color selection, quality of products, and employees’ knowledge or willingness to help.
After spending untold hours trying to track down Volleyball spandex, replacement spikes for track shoes, and Orange socks we realized something needed to be done. We spent almost a year just trying to find the right location and in January of 2005 we purchased 5-1/2 acres in Springtown just a half mile from the high school that had a building already on the property. After a few months of remodeling and many hours spent on the phone with sales reps, we were ready to open our doors for business. We started small with only a few manufacturers. Now, just 3 years later, we have added large, well know companies such as: Adidas, Under Armour, Rawlings, Wilson, Cutters, Mizuno, Diadora, Puma, and Nike to our store; and we offer a full line of equipment and apparel from golf gloves to football footwear.
Even though we started our business without any prior retail experience, we knew one thing that would get us through. Give the customers what they want and listen to their needs.
What makes us unique The personal touch that we give to all our customers is what sets us apart from the large chain stores and internet only sites. We will listen to what the customer is telling us and do our best to get them what they need. We are a small, family owned business and take pride in our work. No job is too big or too small -- we can outfit a league in 600 soccer uniforms, supply a whole squad with cheerleading equipment -- or we can make a custom t-shirt saying I’m the Big Brother!
Being in a small town, word of mouth is your best form of advertisement. We take pride in everything that leaves our store and want people to know where it came from. This same pride will carry over into our web site business and now it will be even easier for our local customers to shop with us on their own time while also opening up our doors to customers in other states.
